Willis “Bill” Vines, age 78 of Story, AR, passed away March 1, 2017 at the Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mt. Ida, AR. surrounded by family. He was born April 13, 1938 in Old Forrester, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents Logan and Beulah Vines, the love of his life his wife Retha Vines of 49 years, three sisters, Betty Black, Bernice Bates, Jimmi Holsumback and one grandson Chris Black.
Survived by; son, Logan Vines, three daughters, Penny Fite (Junior), Angie Bryant and Teresa Wingfield (Tommy), one sister, Kathy Nichols, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday March 5, 2017 2 to 4 pm at Thornton Funeral Chapel. Service will be Monday March 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at Muddy Creek Church in Story, AR. Interment will be at Reed Cemetery. Officiating Bro. Glen Davis and Bro. Greg Hamner. Pallbearers, Daniel Black, Tommy Wingfield, David Fite, Jimmy Abernathy, Larry Nichols and Larry Mohrmann. Honorary Pallbearers are Montgomery County Nursing Home, Jim Silvey, Edward Abernathy and Junior Fite.
